Background
RB1CC1 (RB1-inducible coiled-coil 1, also known as FIP200) is a tumor suppressor implicated in the regulation of RB1 (retinoblastoma 1) expression. It functions to inhibit Pyk2 kinase and cellular activity via its COOH-terminal fragment binding to the kinase domain of Pyk2. It appears to play several key roles related to cell growth, proliferation, development, and tumorigenesis. |
