| Product overview | Human LGALS3BP Kit is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (Sandwich ELISA). The LGALS3BP ELISA kit is to be used to detect and quantify protein levels of endogenous LGALS3BP. The assay recognizes human LGALS3BP. A polyclonal antibody specific for LGALS3BP has been pre-coated onto the microwells. The LGALS3BP protein in samples is captured by the coated antibody after incubation. Following extensive washing, a monoclonal antibody specific for LGALS3BP is added to detect the captured LGALS3BP protein. For signal development, horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated Anti-mouse antibody is added, followed by Tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent. Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development and the color intensity which is proportional to the quantity of bound protein is measurable at 450nm. | |||||||||

LGALS3BP is a secreted glycoprotein that belongs to the galectin family of beta-galactoside-binding proteins implicated in modulating cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. It binds to galectins, beta1-integrins, collagens and fibronectin and has some relevance in cell-cell and cell-extracellular matrix adhesion. This kit is used to quantify LGALS3BP level in vivo. |
