Background Information

Dolichyl-phosphate beta-glucosyltransferase(ALG5), belongs to the family of glycosyltransferases, specifically the hexosyltransferases. ALG5 is widely expressed in pancreas, placenta, liver, heart, brain, kidney, skeletal muscle, and lung. ALG5 can catalyze the chemical reaction between UDP-glucose and UDP with dolichyl phosphate.
