Background Information

CAPZB belongs to the F-actin-capping protein beta subunit family and is the β subunit of the heterodimeric F-actin cap-binding protein. F-actin-capping proteins bind in a Ca2+-independent manner to the fast-growing ends of actin filaments, thereby blocking the exchange of subunits at these ends.
