Background Information
DZIP1, also named as DZIP, DZIP2 and KIAA0996, belongs to the DZIP C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. DZIP1 has been reported to be associated with centrosomes and ciliogenesis in cells (PMID: 32051257). DZIP1 may participate in spermatogenesis via its interaction with DAZ1, and play a role in primary formation (PMID: 15081113, 19852954). DZIP1 has 3 isoforms with the molecular mass of 31, 97 and 99 kDa. It may be a potential therapeutic target of oral squamous carcinoma (PMID: 31450126).
