Background Information
L2HGDH(L-2-hydroxyglutarate dehydrogenase, mitochondrial) is also named as duranin, C14orf160 and belongs to the L2HGDH family. The putative L2HGDH is predicted to be targeted to the mitochondria where its mitochondrial targeting sequence is presumably removed(PMID:16005139). Defects in L2HGDH are the cause of L-2-hydroxyglutaric aciduria (L2HGA). It has 2 isoforms produced by alternative splicing with the molecular weight of 50 kDa and 48 kDa. L2HGDH also can be detected as ~45kD due to the 51aa transit peptide cleaved.

Reviews
What customers say
Both reviewers rated the antibody 4 out of 5 stars for Western Blot. One user tested it on Renca mouse renal cancer cells at 1:1000 dilution, noting one non-specific band above the expected molecular weight, using 5% milk blocking and 3% BSA for primary antibody dilution. The other user tested it on mouse liver tissue at the same dilution after boiling in SDS sample buffer. Overall, users report good performance with minor non-specific binding in some conditions.
The reviews below have been submitted by verified Proteintech customers who received an incentive for providing their feedback.
Anirban (Verified Customer) (12-05-2021) | 24 ug protein/lane. One non specific band observed above the KD band. 5% milk was used to block (1 hr incubation) and in secondary Ab (1/5000 dilution-45 minutes incubation). Primary Ab was diluted in 3% BSA (1.5 hrs incubation. All were done in TBST (0.1% Tween 20). Nitrocellulose membrane was used.
