Background Information
PEST-containing nuclear protein (PCNP), characterized by a PEST motif rich in proline (P), glutamic acid (E), serine (S), and threonine (T), is firstly identified by database mining. The PCNP protein with the PEST motif is highly subjected to ubiquitination. PCNP may act as a transcriptional factor, cell cycle regulatory protein and tumor regulating nuclear protein.(PMID: 35813472, PMID: 32548978, PMID: 31487123)
