Proteintech is experiencing rapid growth in Europe and is now recruiting for a Junior Accountant in Martinsried near Munich, Germany. This position will contribute to further expand and optimize in-house accounting and financial reporting.

You will report directly to the Director of Finance and Administration as part of an excellent team; you will have real responsibility and gain exposure to multiple facets of the business.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The Junior Accountant is responsible for checking and recording vendor/ incoming invoices in our ERP system.

  • Support in the creation of outgoing invoices as well as monitoring our accounts receivables including reminders. 

  • Preparation of payment runs. 

  • Processing and accounting of travel expenses. 

  • Participation of advance VAT declarations.

  • Participation in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.


Essential Requirements 

  • Commercial training/ education or studies as well as initial experience in financial accounting.

  • Good Knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and the willingness to further develop. 

  • Basic knowledge of the ERP system Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC or MS Navision would be an advantage.

  • Ideally, initial experience in the financial sector of an international group of companies.

  • Very careful, reliable, and conscientious ways of working, initiative, and ability to self-manage. 

  • Analytical thinking and ability to work in a team.
