Background
HSP90AA1, also named as HSP90A, HSPC1, HSPCA and HSP86, belongs to the heat shock protein 90 family. It is a molecular chaperone. It has ATPase activity. HSP90AA1 constitutively forms a protein complex with TBK1 and IRF3. HSP90AA1 could deliver a subgroup of mitochondrial pre-proteins, synthesized in the cytosol. (PMID:20628368) |
