AGPAT6 is a member of the 1-acylglycerol-3-phosphate O-acyltransferase (AGPAT) family. AGPAT6 is expressed in brown adipose tissue and mammary epithelium as well as many other tissues. Adeficiency of AGPAT6 in mice results in resistance to dietinduced and genetic forms of obesity.
