  WB analysis using 86146-1-RR (same clone as 86146-1-PBS)

  HEK-293 cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 86146-1-RR (ALOX15B antibody) at dilution of 1:10000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 86146-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  The mean ALOX15B concentration was determined to be 28.7 ng/mL in A431 cell extract based on a 1.6 mg/mL extract load, 52.4 ng/mL in HeLa cell extract based on a 1.2 mg/mL extract load.

In humans, there are 6 functional lipoxygenases genes. Two of them encode for arachidonic acid 12-lipoxygenating (ALOX12, ALOX12B) and two for 15-lipoxygenating enzymes (ALOX15, ALOX15B). ALOX15B has been described as the most abundant 15-lipoxygenating enzyme species in human carotid atherosclerotic lesions and to be associated with cerebrovascular symptoms. (PMID:24373925).
