  WB analysis using 80209-5-RR (same clone as 80209-5-PBS)

  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 80209-5-RR (AMPK alpha antibody) at dilution of 1:5000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 80209-5-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  IF Staining of rat brain using 80209-5-RR (same clone as 80209-5-PBS)

  Immunofluorescent analysis of (4% PFA) fixed paraffin-embedded rat brain tissue using AMPK Alpha antibody (80209-5-RR, Clone: 4N5 ) at dilution of 1:400 and Multi-rAb CoraLite ® Plus 488-Goat Anti-Rabbit Recombinant Secondary Antibody (H+L) (RGAR002). Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 80209-5-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 80209-5-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 80209-5-RR against Human AMPK alpha were performed. The affinity constant is below 1 pM.

The mammalian 5-prime-AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) appears to play a role in protecting cells from stresses that cause ATP depletion by switching off ATP-consuming biosynthetic pathways. PRKAA1 is also named as AMPK1, ACACA kinase, HMGCR kinase. It is a mammalian homologue of sucrose non-fermenting protein kinase (SNF-1), which belongs to a serine/threonine protein kinase family. It has 2 isoforms with molecular mass of 63-66 kDa produced by alternative splicing. 80209-5-RR can recognize both AMPK Alpha 1 and AMPK Alpha 2.
