  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 55089-1-AP (APBA1 antibody) at dilution of 1:800 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours.

  Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded mouse brain tissue slide using 55089-1-AP (APBA1 antibody) at dilution of 1:500 (under 10x lens). Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0).

APBA1, also named MINT1 and X11A, is a brain-specific multi-modular protein that interacts with the Alzheimer's disease amyloid precursor protein (APP)(PMID: 22136355). APP functions as a cytosolic anchoring site that can prevent the gene product's nuclear translocation. APBA1 is expressed in the brain and was found to interact with Munc18.
