  WB analysis using 67830-1-Ig (same clone as 67830-1-PBS)

  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 67830-1-Ig (BAD antibody) at dilution of 1:3000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. The membrane was stripped and reblotted with HRP-conjugated GAPDH Monoclonal antibody (HRP-60004) as loading control. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 67830-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  IF Staining of HeLa using 67830-1-Ig (same clone as 67830-1-PBS)

  Immunofluorescent analysis of (-20°C Methanol) fixed HeLa cells using BAD antibody (67830-1-Ig, Clone: 4B12G2 ) at dilution of 1:400 and CoraLite®488-Conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Mouse IgG(H+L). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 67830-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Hintergrundinformationen

BAD, also named as BBC6 and BCL2L8, promotes cell death. It is successfully competes for the binding to Bcl-X(L), Bcl-2 and Bcl-W, thereby affecting the level of heterodimerization of these proteins with BAX. BAD can reverse the death repressor activity of Bcl-X(L), but not that of Bcl-2. It appears to act as a link between growth factor receptor signaling and the apoptotic pathways.
