  FC experiment of SH-SY5Y using 82956-1-RR (same clone as 82956-1-PBS)

  1x10^6 SH-SY5Y cells were intracellularly stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Human BCAN (82956-1-RR, Clone:230126D6) and APC-Conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L) at dilution 1:166 (red), or 0.25 ug Rabbit IgG control Rabbit PolyAb (30000-0-AP, Clone: ) (blue). Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Perm Buffer (PF00011-C). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 82956-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Hintergrundinformationen

Brevican is a brain-specific proteoglycan belonging to the aggrecan family that share a number of structural features. Brevican contains a hyaluronic acid-binding domain in its N-terminus and a lectin-like domain in its C-terminus. Expression of brevican is highly specific in the brain and increases as the brain develops. It may play a role in maintaining the extracellular environment of mature brain as a major constituent of the adult brain extracellular matrix (PMID:9117262). Brevican core protein exists as a 145 kDa full-length form and a 80 kDa N terminally truncated form (PMID: 8144512). This antibody can recognize the 72 kDa isoform of target.
