The rs10788972 variant of the TCEANC2 gene in the PARK10 region is closely associated with sporadic PD in the American population, while both rs10788972 and rs12046178 variants are not associated with sporadic PD in the Chinese Han population (PMID: 25663231; PMID: 26432391).
