  WB analysis using 31889-1-AP

  Rat thymus tissue was subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 31889-1-AP (CD3 epsilon/CD3e antibody) at dilution of 1:1000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours.

• 

  IHC staining of rat spleen using 31889-1-AP

  Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded rat spleen tissue slide using 31889-1-AP (CD3 epsilon antibody) at dilution of 1:200 (under 40x lens). Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0).

CD3 is a multimeric protein associated with the T-cell receptor (TCR) to form a complex involved in antigen recognition and signal transduction (PMID: 15885124). CD3 is composed of CD3γ, δ, ε, and ζ chains (PMID: 1826255). It is expressed by thymocytes in a developmentally regulated manner, T cells, and some NK cells (PMID: 3289580). The TCR recognizes antigens bound to major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules. TCR-mediated peptide-MHC recognition is transmitted to the CD3 complex, leading to the intracellular signal transduction (PMID: 11985657). This polyclonal antibody was raised against the epsilon chain of rat CD3 molecule.
