  FC experiment of human PBMCs using 65605-1-MR (same clone as 65605-1-PBS)

  1x10^6 PHA treated human PBMCs were surface stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Human CD71 Mouse IgG2a Recombinant Antibody (65605-1-MR, Clone: OKT9) (red) or Mouse IgG2a Isotype Control (65208-1-Ig, Clone: C1.18.4) (blue) and CoraLite®488-Conjugated AffiniPure Donkey Anti-Mouse IgG(H+L). Untreated human PBMCs were surface stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Human CD71 Mouse IgG2a Recombinant Antibody (65605-1-MR, Clone: OKT9) and CoraLite®488-Conjugated AffiniPure Donkey Anti-Mouse IgG(H+L) (black). Cells were not fixed. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 65605-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Hintergrundinformationen

CD71, also known as transferrin receptor protein 1 (TfR1), is a transmembrane glycoprotein composed of two disulfide-linked monomers, each of 90 kDa molecular weight. Each monomer binds one holo-transferrin molecule creating an iron-Tf-TfR complex that enters the cell by endocytosis. CD71 is present on actively proliferating cells and is essential for iron transport into proliferating cells.
