  FC experiment of human peripheral blood leukocytes using 98202-1-RR (same clone as 98202-1-PBS)

  1x10^6 human peripheral blood leukocytes were surface stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Human CD81 Rabbit Recombinant Antibody (98202-1-RR, Clone: 241722G4) or Rabbit IgG Isotype Control Recombinant Antibody (98136-1-RR, Clone: 240953C9), and PE-conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG. Cells were not fixed. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 98202-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 98202-1-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 98202-1-RR against Human CD81 were performed. The affinity constant is below 1 pM.

Hintergrundinformationen

CD81 (also known as TAPA1 or TSPAN28) is a membrane protein of the tetraspanin superfamily, which are characterized by the presence of four conserved transmembrane regions. Many of these members are expressed on leukocytes and have been implicated in signal transduction, cell-cell interactions, and cellular activation and development. CD81 is involved in signal transduction and cell adhesion in the immune system (PMID: 9597125). CD81 has also been identified as en essential receptor for HCV (hepatitis C virus) (PMID: 21428934).
