  FC experiment of human PBMCs using 98190-1-RR

  1x10^6 human PBMCs were surface stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Human CD98 Rabbit Recombinant Antibody (98190-1-RR, Clone: 241755D6) or 0.25 ug Rabbit IgG Isotype Control Recombinant Antibody (98136-1-RR, Clone: 240953C9), and PE-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). Cells were incubated with FC Receptor Block prior to staining. Cells were not fixed.

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 98190-1-RR against Human CD98/SLC3A2 were performed. The affinity constant is 5.97 nM.

Hintergrundinformationen

CD98 is a 125-kDa type II membrane glycoprotein heterodimer composed of a 40-kDa non-glycosylated light chain (amino-acid transporter, encoded by the SLC7A5) and an 85-kDa glycosylated heavy chain (CD98hc, encoded by the SLC3A2) (PMID: 11507094). CD98hc also interacts with certain integrin b-subunits to regulate cell migration, survival, proliferation, and adhesion/polarity. CD98hc is overexpressed on the cell surface of many cancers and increased CD98hc expression is associated with the development and progression of tumors.(PMID:25084765). Molecular orientation studies have demonstrated that the C-terminal tail of human CD98 (hCD98), which contains a PDZ-binding domain, is extracellular (PMID: 18625289).
