  WB analysis using 17209-1-AP (same clone as 17209-1-PBS)

  Mouse liver tissue lysate was subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 17209-1-AP (CEACAM21 antibody) at dilution of 1:500 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 17209-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human placenta tissue slide using 17209-1-AP (CEACAM21 antibody) at dilution of 1:200 (under 10x lens). Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 17209-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 21 (CEACAM21) is a member of the CEACAM family that has diverse functions in cell adhesion, in intracellular and intercellular signaling, and during complex biological processes such as cancer progression, inflammation, angiogenesis, and metastasis (PMID: 23903773; 32488569). CEACAM21 acts as a heterophilic ligand for TIM-3, leading to the dissociation of Bat3 and increasing proximal TCR signaling and proapoptotic protein expression in late effector T cells, thereby mediating T cell suppression (PMID: 38490257).
