COL19A1 belongs to the fibril-associated collagens with interrupted helices (FACIT) family. COL19A1 may act as a cross-bridge between fibrils and other extracellular matrix molecules. It is involved in skeletal myogenesis in the developing esophagus. COL19A1 may play a role in organization of the pericellular matrix or the sphinteric smooth muscle. The antibody can recognize the N-term of COL19A1.
