  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 85802-1-RR (CD74 antibody) at dilution of 1:10000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 85802-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  RAW 264.7 were cultured in DMEM supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum, 2.5 mM L-glutamine, 100 U/mL penicillin, and 100 μg/mL streptomycin sulfate. An aliquot of the cell culture supernate was removed, assayed for mouse CD74, and measured 14.17 ng/mL.

  The mean CD74 concentration was determined to be 856.01 ng/mL in mouse thymus tissue extract based on a 5.80 mg/mL extract load and 789.39 ng/mL in mouse spleen tissue extract based on a 8.50 mg/mL extract load.

CD74, also known as MHC class II invariant chain Ii or HLA-DR-associated invariant chain, is a non-polymorphic type II transmembrane glycoprotein. CD74 is mainly distributed in B cells, monocytes, Langerhans cells, dendritic cells and thymic epithelial cells, and is also expressed in epithelial cells. CD74 plays a key role in MHC class II antigen processing and also serves as a cell surface receptor for the macrophage cytokine MIF.
