It is a key enzyme in lipid metabolism that functions to reintroduce diacylglycerol formed from the hydrolysis of phospholipids into the biosynthetic pathway. This protein has 2 isoforms produced by alternative splicing with the molecular weight of 87 kDa and 91 kDa.
