  WB analysis of HeLa using 21941-1-AP (same clone as 21941-1-PBS)

  HeLa cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 21941-1-AP (DNAJC6/AUXILIN antibody) at dilution of 1:800 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 21941-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Hintergrundinformationen

DNAJC6, also named AUXILIN, belongs to the evolutionarily conserved DNAJ/HSP40 family of proteins, which regulate molecular chaperone activity by stimulating ATPase activity. It is a neuronal protein that functions specifically in the pathway of clathrin-mediated endocytosis. It shares homology with GAK, and the two proteins act as cochaperones to support the HSC70 -dependent clathrin uncoating of clathrin-coated vesicles (PMID: 2016009). DNAJC6 is expressed in various brain regions, including cerebellum, corpus callosum, cortex, striatum, brainstem, pons, putamen, spinal cord and substantia nigra (PMID: 23211418).
