Enoyl-coenzyme A hydratase (ECHS1) is a mitochondrial protein which catalyzes the hydration of 2-trans-enoyl-coenzyme A intermediates to L-3-hydroxyacyl-coenzyme A, playing key role in metabolism of fatty acids in mitochondria.
