FAM134 reticulon family proteins (FAM134A, FAM134B, and FAM134C) are ER-phagy receptors with structural similarities and nonredundant functions. The protein family with sequence similarity 134 (FAM134). Fam134A (also known as metastasis-associated genes 2, MAG-2) is widely expressed in various types of tissues including tumors, and is considered to be closely correlated with tumor proliferation, invasion, and metastasis.
