GDF10, also known as Bmp3b, is a member of the TGF-ß superfamily. GDF10 is expressed in Bergmann glial cells, which was investigated by single-cell transcriptional profiling. human GDF10 cDNA encodes a 478-amino acid precursor protein. Cleavage of the GDF10 precursor protein at a putative polybasic proteolytic processing site generates a mature BMP3B protein consisting of 110 amino acids and a potential N-glycosylation site.
