Hintergrundinformationen
GPR124, also named as KIAA1531 and TEM5, belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 2 family and LN-TM7 subfamily. GPR124 is an Orphan receptor. GPR124 is a Tumor endothelial marker (TEMs) which significantly up-regulated during angiogenesis and neoangiogensis that are crucial for the growth of solid tumors and localized on the cell surface and conserved across species are of particular interest for future development of anti-angiogenic therapies. GPR124 is a member of the adhesion family of G protein coupled receptors and is localized on the surface of endothelial cells. GPR124 is a seven-pass transmembrane receptor, unlike TEM1, TEM7 and TEM8 which span the membrane once. Proteolytically processed soluble GPR124 mediates endothelial cell survival during angiogenesis by linking integrin to glycosaminoglycans. The antibody recognizes near the C-term of GPR124. The antibody can’t recognize the isoform3 of GPR124.
