GSC2 may have multiple functions, including a possible role in development, regulating its own transcription, and binding to the dual steroid consensus sequence TAATCC. GSC2 is expressed in adult testis and pituitary. The calculated molecular weight of GSC2 is 22 kDa (refer to UniProt).
