  FC experiment of MCF-7 using 98304-3-RR (same clone as 98304-3-PBS)

  1x10^6 MCF-7 cells were surface stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Human HER2/ErbB2 Rabbit RecAb (98304-3-RR, Clone: 242436C4) (red) or 0.25 ug Rabbit IgG Isotype Control RecAb (98136-1-RR, Clone: 240953C9) (blue), and PE-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). Cells were not fixed. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 98304-3-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 98304-3-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 98304-3-RR against Human HER2/ErbB2 were performed. The affinity constant is 3.53 nM.

Hintergrundinformationen

HER2, also known as ErbB2, Neu, and CD340, is a 185-kDa transmembrane glycoprotein member of the epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor family of receptor tyrosine kinases. It has no ligand-binding domain and therefore cannot bind growth factors. However, it does bind tightly to other ligand-bound EGF receptor family members to form a heterodimer, stabilizing ligand binding and enhancing kinase-mediated activation of downstream signaling pathways, such as those involving mitogen-activated protein kinase and phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase.
