  FC experiment of mouse splenocytes using 98082-1-RR (same clone as 98082-1-PBS)

  1x10^6 mouse splenocytes were intracellularly stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Mouse IFN-beta Rabbit Recombinant Antibody (98082-1-RR, Clone:240230B6) or isotype control and PE-Conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). Cells were stained with CoraLite® Plus 647 Anti-Mouse CD19 before fixing. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Perm Buffer (PF00011-C). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 98082-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 98082-1-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 98082-1-RR against Mouse IFN-beta were performed. The affinity constant is 1.91 nM.

Interferon-beta (IFN-β) is a type I interferon, which is a group of signaling proteins made and released by host cells in response to the presence of several viruses, including double-stranded RNA produced by many viruses. IFN-β is a single protein species and is molecularly related to IFN-α subtypes, although it is antigenically distinct from them. It is mainly produced by fibroblasts and plays a crucial role in the innate immune response against viruses. IFN-β can inhibit viral replication by interfering with the virus's RNA or DNA, thus suppressing viral growth. It also enhances the cytotoxic activity of natural killer (NK) cells and promotes the expression of major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules.
