  FC experiment of human PBMCs using 98159-1-RR (same clone as 98159-1-PBS)

  1x10^6 untreated or PMA, Ionomycin and Brefeldin A treated human PBMCs were intracellularly stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Human IL-13 Rabbit Recombinant Antibody (98159-1-RR, Clone: 241396F3) and PE-conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG. Cells were co-stained with CoraLite® Plus 647 Anti-Human CD4. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Perm Buffer (PF00011-C). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 98159-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 98159-1-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 98159-1-RR against Human IL-13 were performed. The affinity constant is 1.69 nM.

Hintergrundinformationen

Interleukin 13 (IL-13) is an immunoregulatory cytokine produced primarily by activated Th2 cells. This cytokine is involved in several stages of B-cell maturation and differentiation. IL-13 up-regulates CD23 and MHC class II expression, and promotes IgE isotype switching of B cells. IL-13 inhibits the production of a series of cytokines like IL-1, IL-6, TNF-alpha, and IL-8 by activated human monocytes. IL-13 induces IFN-gamma production by NK cells. IL-13 is thought to be important cytokine in the pathogenesis of asthma, and more recently has been shown to play a pivotal role in a number of fibrotic diseases including hepatic and pulmonary fibrosis, and nodular sclerosing Hodgkin's disease.
