  FC experiment of Transfected HEK-293T using 98556-1-RR (same clone as 98556-1-PBS)

  1x10^6 HEK-293T cells or IL-17C transfected HEK-293T cells were intracellularly stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Mouse IL-17C Rabbit RecAb (98556-1-RR, Clone: 250601C2) and APC-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). Cells were fixed with Intracellular Flow Cytometry Fixation & Permeabilization Buffer Kit (PF00019). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 98556-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Hintergrundinformationen

IL-17C is a member of the IL-17 cytokine family, was cloned from a human fetal kidney library in 2000 (PMID: 10639155). The IL-17 family comprises at least 6 proinflammatory cytokines that share a conserved cystine-knot structure but diverge at the N-terminus. IL-17 family members are glycoproteins that induce local cytokine production and recruit granulocytes to sites of inflammation (PMID: 15485625; 11574464). IL-17C is selectively induced in epithelia by bacterial challenge and inflammatory stimuli (PMID: 21993848). IL-17RE is a receptor specific to IL-17C and has an essential role in host mucosal defense against infection (PMID: 21993849).
