  GST tagged recombinant IL29 protein were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 66163-1-Ig (IL-29 antibody at dilution of 1:20000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 66163-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Sample test of MP50009-1

  HUVEC human umbilical vein endothelial cells were cultured in EGM-2 and stimulated with 100 ng/mL IFN-alpha for 20 hours and 30 µg/mL Poly(I:C) for 3 hours. The mean IL-29 concentration was determined to be 46.8 pg/mL in unstimulated HUVEC supernatant, 378.1 pg/mL in stimulated HUVEC supernatant.

  Sample test of MP50009-1

  Serum of ten individual healthy human donors was measured. The human IL-29 concentration of detected samples was determined to be 185.8 pg/mL with a range of 13.7 - 744.0 pg/mL.

Interleukin-29 (IL-29) is a cytokine belonging to the Type III interferon family, which has another two subfamilies IL-28A and IL-28B. They are also known as IFN-λ1, IFN-λ2 and IFN-λ3, respectively. IL-29 is produced predominantly by maturing dendritic cells and macrophages. IL-29 plays an important role in the immune response against pathogenes and especially against viruses by mechanisms similar to type I interferons. IL-29 receptor signals through JAK-STAT pathways leading to activated expression of interferon-stimulated genes and production of antiviral proteins.
