  Human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) were cultured unstimulated or stimulated with 10 μg/mL PHA and 10 ng/mL IL-2 for 1 day. The mean IL-3 concentration was undetectable in unstimulated PBMC supernatant, 109.7 pg/mL in stimulated PBMC supernatant.
