  FC experiment of human PBMCs using 98138-1-RR (same clone as 98138-1-PBS)

  1x10^6 untreated or PMA, Ionomycin and Brefeldin A treated human PBMCs were intracellularly stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Human IL-4 Rabbit Recombinant Antibody (98138-1-RR, Clone: 240794E11) and PE-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). Cells were co-stained with APC Anti-Human CD3 (OKT3) Mouse IgG2a Recombinant Antibody (APC-65569, Clone: OKT3). Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Perm Buffer (PF00011-C). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 98138-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 98138-1-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 98138-1-RR against Human IL-4 were performed. The affinity constant is below 1 pM.

Hintergrundinformationen

IL-4 is a cytokine produced by CD4+ T cells in response to helminthes and other extracellular parasites. It promotes the proliferation and differentiation of antigen presenting cells. IL-4 also plays a pivotal role in antibody isotype switching and stimulates the production of IgE. This cytokine has been applied in the treatment of autoimmune disorder like multiple myeloma, cancer, psoriasis, and arthritis. IL-4 has also been extensively applied to inhibit detrimental effect of Th1. It may promote the growth of epithelial tumors by mediating increased proliferation and survival.
