• 

  FC experiment of C57BL/6 Th2-polarized splenocytes using 98352-1-RR (same clone as 98352-1-PBS)

  1x10^6 untreated or PMA, Ionomycin and Brefeldin A treated C57BL/6 Th2-polarized splenocytes were intracellularly stained with 0.125 ug Anti-Mouse IL5 Rabbit RecAb (98352-1-RR, Clone:242075A7) and PE-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). Cells were co-stained with APC Anti-Mouse CD4 (GK1.5) (APC-65104, Clone: GK1.5). Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Perm Buffer (PF00011-C). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 98352-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 98352-1-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 98352-1-RR against Mouse IL-5 were performed. The affinity constant is 5.79 nM.

Interleukin-5 (IL-5) is a critical cytokine that regulates the growth, activation, and survival of eosinophils. IL-5 is produced by both hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cells including T cells, granulocytes, and natural helper cells. IL-5 exerts its effects for proliferation and differentiation via receptors that comprise an IL-5-specific α and common β-subunit. Overexpression of IL-5 in vivo significantly increases eosinophils and B cells in number, while mice lacking a functional gene for IL-5 or IL-5 receptor display a number of developmental and functional impairments in B cells and eosinophil lineages.
