  WB analysis of human adrenal gland using 13155-1-AP

  human adrenal gland tissue were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 13155-1-AP (IP6K2 antibody) at dilution of 1:500 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours.

Hintergrundinformationen

IP6K2(Inositol hexakisphosphate kinase 2) is also named as IHPK2, PiUS and belongs to the inositol phosphokinase (IPK) family. It converts inositol hexakisphosphate (InsP6) to diphosphoinositol pentakisphosphate (InsP7/PP-InsP5) and and mediates apoptotic cell death via its translocation from the nucleus to the cytoplasm(PMID:21652713). IP6K2 regulates TP53 and protein kinase AKT signaling, and its aberrant increase in cells has been implicated in apoptosis and INS resistance(PMID:21262846). It has 6 isoforms produced by alternative splicing. This antibody recognizes the others except the 8 kDa isoform of IP6K2.
