  WB analysis using 67897-1-Ig

  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 67897-1-Ig (KPNA1 antibody) at dilution of 1:10000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. The membrane was stripped and reblotted with HRP-conjugated Beta Actin Monoclonal antibody (HRP-66009) as loading control.

Hintergrundinformationen

Importins (alpha and beta) are transport factors that transport proteins into the nucleus. alpha importins function by binding transcription factors at nuclear localization sequences (NLS), and associating with importin beta subunits to translocate through the nuclear pore. Six isoforms of alpha importins have been described in human. Importin alpha 5 is the predominant importin in adult CNS and is essential for differentiation and viability of neural cells.
