  FC experiment of JAR using 98432-2-RR (same clone as 98432-2-PBS)

  1x10^6 JAR cells were surface stained with 0.25 ug Anti-Human LIFR Rabbit RecAb (98432-2-RR, Clone: 250110B3) (red) or Rabbit IgG Isotype Control RecAb (98136-1-RR, Clone: 240953C9) (blue), and PE-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). Cells were not fixed. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 98432-2-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Hintergrundinformationen

LIFR, also known as CD118, is a subunit of a receptor for leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF). LIF is a pleiotropic cytokine of the interleukin-6 family that affects the differentiation, survival, and proliferation of a wide variety of cells in the adult and the embryo. LIFR is the low-affinity binding chain that, together with the high-affinity converter subunit gp130, forms a high-affinity receptor complex that mediates the action of LIF. The high-affinity complex also binds a related cytokine, oncostatin M (PMID: 8999038). LIFR has also been identified as a breast cancer metastasis suppressor that functions through the HIPPO-YAP pathway (PMID: 23001183).
