  Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human pancreas cancer tissue slide using 68471-1-Ig (MAOA antibody) at dilution of 1:1000 (under 10x lens). Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 68471-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  1x10^6 HepG2 cells were intracellularly stained with 0.4 ug MAOA Monoclonal antibody (68471-1-Ig, Clone:1A9E4) and CoraLite®488-Conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Mouse IgG(H+L) (SA00013-1)(red), or 0.4 ug Mouse IgG1 isotype control Mouse McAb (66360-1-Ig, Clone: 1F8D3) (blue). Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Perm Buffer (PF00011-C). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 68471-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

MAOA belongs to the flavin monoamine oxidase family. It catalyzes the oxidative deamination of biogenic and xenobiotic amines and has important functions in the metabolism of neuroactive and vasoactive amines in the central nervous system and peripheral tissues. MAOA preferentially oxidizes biogenic amines such as 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT), norepinephrine and epinephrine.
