  WB analysis of HEK-293 using 10428-1-AP

  HEK-293 cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 10428-1-AP (MFI2 antibody) at dilution of 1:100 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours.

  Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human ovary cancer tissue slide using 10428-1-AP (MFI2 antibody) at dilution of 1:200 (under 20x lens). Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0).

Hintergrundinformationen

MFI2 (Melanotransferrin/Mtf/TRMF), also known as p97 or CD228, is an iron-binding glycoprotein belonging to the transferrin family. Alternative RNA splicing yields two forms of different length transcripts, one (the longer) bound to the membrane (mMFI2) and the other (the shorter) secreted to the peripheral environment (sMFI2) such as blood and cell supernatant. MFI2 is upregulated in tumor tissues and has been identified as a serological marker of colorectal cancer (PMID: 25216327).
