MRPP3 (Mitochondrial ribonuclease P protein 3), originally known as KIAA0391, has been identified as a member of human mitochondrial RNase P (mtRNase P), the endonuclease responsible for tRNA 5' end maturation by removing extra nucleotides from tRNA precursors at their 5' termini.
