  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 68542-1-Ig (MYB/c-Myb antibody) at dilution of 1:5000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 68542-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  1X10^6 Jurkat cells were intracellularly stained with 0.4 ug Anti-Human MYB/c-Myb (68542-1-Ig, Clone:2C4A5) and CoraLite®488-Conjugated Goat Anti-Mouse IgG(H+L) at dilution 1:1000 (red), or 0.4 ug Mouse IgG1 Isotype Control (MOPC-21) (65124-1-Ig, Clone: MOPC-21) (blue). Cells were fixed and permeabilized with True-Nuclear Transcription Factor Buffer Set. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 68542-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Hintergrundinformationen

The MYB protein is a transcription factor that plays a key role in regulating the proliferation/differentiation of progenitor cells in bone marrow, colonic crypts, and neurogenic niches [PMID:18574464]. It is involved in the regulation of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and invasion in neuroblastoma, colon carcinoma, and embryonic kidney cells through the upregulation of the transcription repressor Slug [PMID:20622260]. It also a DNA-binding protein that specifically recognize the sequence 5'-YAAC[GT]G-3', and plays an important role in the control of proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic progenitor cells. MYB exists some isoforms with MV 85, 75, 72, 68, 63 and 40 kDa.
