  WB analysis using 82804-2-RR (same clone as 82804-2-PBS)

  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 82804-2-RR (MYB antibody) at dilution of 1:5000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 82804-2-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  1x10^6 MCF-7 cells were intracellularly stained with 0.25 ug MYB/c-Myb Recombinant antibody (82804-2-RR, Clone:230179C11) and CoraLite®488-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L) (SA00013-2)(red), or 0.25 ug Isotype Control (blue). Cells were fixed and permeabilized with Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Kit (PF00011). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 82804-2-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Hintergrundinformationen

The MYB protein is a transcription factor that plays a key role in regulating the proliferation/differentiation of progenitor cells in bone marrow, colonic crypts, and neurogenic niches [PMID:18574464]. It is involved in the regulation of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and invasion in neuroblastoma, colon carcinoma, and embryonic kidney cells through the upregulation of the transcription repressor Slug [PMID:20622260]. It also a DNA-binding protein that specifically recognize the sequence 5'-YAAC[GT]G-3', and plays an important role in the control of proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic progenitor cells. MYB exists some isoforms with MV 85, 75, 72, 68, 63 and 40 kDa.
