  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 83494-6-RR (NCAM2 antibody) at dilution of 1:3000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 83494-6-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Immunofluorescent analysis of (4% PFA) fixed paraffin-embedded mouse brain tissue using NCAM2 antibody (83494-6-RR, Clone: 240398D9 ) at dilution of 1:500 and Multi-rAb CoraLite ® Plus 488-Goat Anti-Rabbit Recombinant Secondary Antibody (H+L) (RGAR002). Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 83494-6-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 83494-6-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 83494-6-RR against Human NCAM2 were performed. The affinity constant is 4.48 nM.

Hintergrundinformationen

The mammalian NCAM family has two members, NCAM1 and NCAM2 (PMID: 9729879; 20439718). Neural cell adhesion molecule 2 (NCAM2, also known as NCAM21) is a single-pass type I membrane protein that is highly expressed in the brain, which may play important roles in selective fasciculation and zone-to-zone projection of the primary olfactory axons or in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease (PMID: 26611261). NCAM2 has two isoforms: NCAM2.1 bearing transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains and the shorter NCAM2.2 isoform, which is GPI-anchored (PMID: 9334170; 9221781). The molecular weight of NCAM2 is around 125 kDa and 93 kDa (PMID: 9334170; 3171685).
