  WB analysis of PC-3 using 55404-1-AP (same clone as 55404-1-PBS)

  PC-3 cells and Jurkat cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 55404-1-AP (S3-12 antibody) at dilution of 1:1000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 55404-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

PLIN4 (Perilipin 4) is a member of the perilipin family, a group of proteins that coat lipid droplets in adipocytes, the fatty tissue cells responsible for storing fat. The proteins in the Perilipin family are crucial regulators of lipid storage. PLIN4 expression is elevated in obese animals and humans. Plin4 is a lipid droplet protein (LDP) found predominantly in white adipose tissue (PMID: 23423172). It has lower expression in the heart, skeletal muscle, and brown adipose tissue (PMID: 17878492).
