  WB analysis using 82835-3-RR (same clone as 82835-3-PBS)

  Non-treated and Calyculin A treated HeLa cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 82835-3-RR (Phospho-EIF2AK4 (Thr899) antibody) at dilution of 1:7000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. The membrane was stripped and re-blotted with Lamin (66095-1-Ig) antibody as a loading control. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 82835-3-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

EIF2AK4 (eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 alpha kinase 4) belongs to a family of protein kinases that phosphorylate the α subunit of EIF2 (eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2) in response to various stress stimuli. Phosphorylation of EIF2A in response to EIF2AK4 activation subsequently increases translation of specific mRNAs that are important for stress remediation such as ATF4 (activating transcription factor 4).
