  WB analysis using 68215-1-Ig (same clone as 68215-1-PBS)

  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 68215-1-Ig (RTN3 antibody) at dilution of 1:10000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. The membrane was stripped and reblotted with HRP-conjugated Beta Actin Monoclonal antibody (HRP-66009) as loading control. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 68215-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Reticulon (RTN) proteins are a group of membrane-bound proteins that largely reside in endoplasmic reticulum (ER). Reticulon proteins share a common sequence feature, the reticulon homology domain (RHD). Four mammalian reticulons (RTN1-4) exist. Reticulon3 (RTN3) is highly expressed in neurons. RTN3 has been shown to modulate secretory pathway protein trafficking. It is a negative modulator of BACE1 (β-secretase) proteolytic activity. RTN3 may induce caspase-8 cascade and apoptosis and may favor BCL2 translocation to the mitochondria upon endoplasmic reticulum stress.
